Pictures at an Exhibition with Gabriel Ayala

A fundraiser to Support UA’s School Garden Workshop and the Tucson Jazz Festival’s Education Program

Join us for an unforgettable evening featuring acclaimed Indigenous guitarist Gabriel Ayala, in an immersive celebration of art, music, and culture.

This multi-part event is hosted in the historic Corbett’s, with a gourmet dinner crafted by resident Chef Omar. Guests will experience a unique combination of exquisite cuisine, extraordinary art, and music in a setting that blends history with the vibrancy of contemporary Indigenous culture.

The evening begins with a champagne greeting, light appetizers and dinner music, all followed by a dinner showcasing the best of Chef Omar’s culinary talent.

Afterward, enjoy an exclusive auction of Indigenous art, with pieces generously donated by Mark Bahti and Bahti Indian Arts, where each piece reflects the depth and beauty of our historical

The event culminates with an immersive Art/Music experience in Corbett’s atmospheric basement. The space will become a speakeasy setting where  Gabriel Ayala’s evocative guitar performance will captivate and transport you while his visual artwork is projected on screens that surround the audience.

*All proceeds from the evening support The Tucson Jazz Festival’s Education Program and UA Gardens Program, which are working together to engage with sustainable food growing practices, educational resources, combined with Art and Music Enrichment.

About the School Garden Workshop:

Collective Action for Social Justice and a More Sustainable Community

The School Garden Workshop connects students in public schools with Tucson’s agricultural legacy by planting, maintaining, and engaging in school gardens. Using gardens as dynamic educational tools, we help cultivate community, connect students with their local food system and use gardens as STEM learning labs.
